The Research Support Service is committed to providing clinical staff with efficient access to professional expertise, regulatory support, and research management infrastructure, enabling the facilitation of high-quality research.
What we do

Supporting research projects from small student studies to complex international investigations and multi-centre studies, The Research Support Service provides a single point of contact for all researchers. We ensure all research governance and regulatory requirements are met and that the research fulfils legal, ethical, and data protection obligations.

The research environment across St John of God services is underpinned by a commitment to shared learning, excellence in research practices, and robust governance. Researchers can be directly supported by the Research Support Service and by the Library & Information Service. Research governance is maintained to the highest standard and in keeping with the policies of the organization alongside national legislation and best practice. Our Research Advisory Committee play an integral role in ensuring robust governance is in place, alongside an efficient research approval process.
